Leather hide

Only in a single slaughter house in a small district in Mozambique, more than 100 cows can be slaughtered weekly and the hides thrown in the rubbish. With a single leather manufacturing house in the whole country, there is no much we can do, but we try to save all large hides without holes.

As mentioned above, more than 100 cows can be slaughtered per week, in a single slaughter house. Previously, people used to collect hides and send them to China, but apparently China asks for processed hides now and most of people do not want to deal with this process due to the costs involved.

Being a premium product, which costs a fortune anywhere in the world, we decided to start to but the large hides that seemed that didn’t show signs that the animal was mistreated, take the hides to be treated and then sell as rugs or use on our projects.
